My Little Artist
The other day while we were doing school, one of the kids thought it would be hilarious to give Jaxon a pencil. To my surprise, instead of eating it, he started trying to write in the the book he had been looking at. I had no idea he knew what to do with a pencil. So I gave him some crayons and a piece of paper and he had a blast drawing his first picture. He kept laughing and he would get so excited when we would compliment his artwork.
I keep thinking of him as a baby and sometimes forget that he's on the fast track towards toddlerhood! It's time for me to get on Pinterest and find some fun things to keep toddlers occupied. First up is this great finger painting idea! I think even my big kids would like this!

This is sooo cute! Yay for the artistic baby! :) Isaac kind of can do it, too, but he doesn't have the patience to sit there long. :)
ReplyDeleteI had no idea Jaxon could sit still for so long, either! He must have colored for 10 minutes. It was great. I was really amazed that something would hold his attention for that long AND be something that he is able to quietly do while the other kids are working on their school.
